Virtual styling is a process that achieves the same goals as in person styling, yet is done completely online. We will use Zoom, Skype or Facetime to communicate during the virtual styling process. You will end up with a wardrobe that flatters you, is easy and comfortable to wear, and is compatible with your vision, personality and lifestyle. We start by having you complete an online assessment of your needs, along with what is and what is not working in your wardrobe. This will give Sharon Kornstein, owner of ImageDesign LLC, an idea of what you have, along with what is needed for you to express your authentic self.
How It Works
During the virtual style session, Sharon will direct you where to position your laptop or phone so she can see you and your closet, along with your reflection in a full-length mirror. As we go through your clothing, we’ll critique each piece for color, style, fit, and compatibility. Of the items we’re keeping, we’ll create outfits, and decide what needs alterations, cleaning or pressing.
Throughout the process, Sharon will teach you what makes certain pieces more flattering. She will describe your best colors and shapes, and fill you in the importance of proportion. She will explain why particular fabrics are more comfortable, and show you how your clothes should fit. Finally, she will tell you how to express the real you, through style, pattern, accessories and outfit coordination.
Three Levels of Virtual Styling
There are three levels to virtual styling. Choose the one that works best for your needs and your budget.
Level 1: In this level, Sharon will complete the online assessment with you, and advise you on color, pattern, fit and style. She will answer any questions you have about the closet edit, but will not actually perform it with you. She will assist you with outfit coordination once the edit is complete. Special Cost: $75
Level 2: After completion of the online assessment Sharon will spend 2 – 3 hours with you virtually going through all the items in your closet for the current season. She will help you decide what to keep and what to donate, while advising on style, color and outfit coordination. She will describe how to re-organize your closet as you return the items. Cost: $175
Level 3: In addition to completing the style and wardrobe assessment, and doing the closet edit with you, Sharon will upload photos of items you’re keeping to an online virtual closet. This will enable her to continuously make recommendations on what to add to your wardrobe. Along with that, she’ll be able to create outfits online from what you own, and what you’ll potentially purchase. Cost: $250
Regardless of which option you choose, you will come away with a clear understanding of why certain items are more flattering and what you need to complete your wardrobe, along with a well-edited closet and outfits that you can wear every day.
